And This Weekends NFL playoff picks are.....

This Weekends NFL playoff picks.....

Ebizz 's Picks:

Patriots vs. Broncos
Patriots - I never bet against the Patriots in the playoffs.... and even though i hate them and want them to get that ass kicked, I dont see how they can loose to Denver. Broncos have EVERY odd stacked against them, including the guy who drafted him..... But thats why we play the game..
Folks be "reachin," creating 1000 excuses why the Broncos were lucky to beat the Steelers last week, but the Tebow hate should be over with by now in my opinion. There is no playbook to stop a well rested Patriots team.

New Orleans vs. 49er's

New Orleans - Im goin with N.O.. They are very very very explosive. The 49ers got that defense, and have been shutting teams down left and right. But, I dont think any defense can all the way contain Brees and dem. Saints win by 10.

Ravens vs Texans

Ba
ltimore - Im gone go with B'more, but Im not confident with this pick. The reason? I want to believe the Texans have found some kind of way to get over that hump that has held them back all of these years... That Ravens Defense is gone be all the way ready, But maybe this will be the Arian Foster show anyway....

Giants vs Packers

New York
- I love how unpredictable them Giants can be. My boy Eli had alot of haters when he entered the league, but that superbowl win against Patriots was spectacular, and shut down the critics.... But man man man. This Greenbay team came off lockout into the season as if the lockout never occurred, so image how ready they will be for this game..... Dem Packers are ready to go for back 2 back Super bowls..... Gotta go NFC North Green Bay

D Professor's Picks:

Patriots vs. Broncos
New England - For no good reason. The Pats whooped them in Denver after Tebow got out to 16-7 lead I think and then the turnovers start rolling. Pats having won in playoffs in like 3 years but with the extra week off and they still have Brady and Belicheck, I'll take New England. The dream run for Timmy Touchdown has to end, I would rather it end next week vs Baltimore so Skip Bayless can have an on-air orgasm (pause). Buttt.....

Ravens vs Texans
Andre Johnson fight
Baltimore - I really dont know which Flacco shows up. The pass happy Flacco that throws them out the game or the run balanced Flacco that has to throw 15-20 times. Houston seems to have the recipe with a QB that doesn't turn the ball over, tough running game and stingy defense...sound familiar Baltimore? Hopefully the real Flacco shows up and Ray Rice touches the ball 40 times.

New Orleans vs. 49er's
New Orleans - They say NO can't play outside, is a dome team, etc. Temperature for tomorrow is set to be around 55 degrees. Its not like they are playing in Lambeau or Chicago. NO was 3-2 on road outside this year, losing to GB and TB, beating Tenn, Car, and Jax. They didnt put up the same type of numbers outside except for GB but they still scored no less than 22. The 9ers at home, only good teams they beat at home were Pitt and Giants. I don't think it is a shootout, but Saints by like 7.

Giants vs Packers
Giants - Pass rush, good offense, great QB play, enough run offense for playaction to work, that is what worked against the historically great NE Pats in Super Bowl. This team is better in many aspects than that team and would play the same type of team all the way to Super Bowl (GB, NO, Pats possibly). If the defense is thrown out the window, GB wins the shootout.

KeFarin's picks:

Patriots vs. Broncos
New England - I was one of Tebow's fiercest critics, but I finally saw his worth. The dude is a winner and he's not great, but can get that job done. With that being said... New England will beat the Broncos by at least 10 points. This is just what Tom Brady does.

Ravens vs Texans
Baltimore - So there is no way I can pick a rookie QB over the Ravens Defense. 'Nuff said.

Now to the real Games.....

New Orleans vs. 49er's

San Francisco - I know, that Brees just secured himself a record and a hall of fame spot this season but that 49ers D is ferocious. I should know they were one of the only bright spots on my Fantasy Team. San Fran will make the game a grind out and will win 20-17.

Giants vs Packers

So this game between the Giants and the Packers has potential to be pretty epic. High powered offenses with play-making defenses. No one really has been able to stop Rodgers, but Eli and the Giants will on Sunday. Giants win this game 27-23 in regulation. Unless it goes into OT where thePack will win29-23.

2011 Wrap Up

Another year has passed. We are all blessed to be here.
Let's look back of some of the hot topics of the year.

The Occupy movement - in a nutshell - the people are growing tired of the bullshit. Corporate bailouts. The rich continue to get richer, the middle class is slowly evaporating and in most cases sliding down to the lowest class. Big Brother is casting its net further and further with NDAA bill while blinding the masses with more cuts to the essentials of living. Increased costs in healthcare are met with shrinking and invisible merit increases at work. Not to mention the bailouts and the money that just was dished out with little or no economic improvements.

At least they got their man, or so they say. Body is floating in the ocean with the missing Transformers, the alien ships they scraped from Area 51, the missing OJ glove, Roger Clemens steroid syringes, aluminum, and of course the missing yellow cake.

The year in music
...can best be summed up by checking out this post....SweetNuthingz: Ebizz's Top albums of the 2011

A few albums that didn't make the cut...
MMG - Self-Made Vol 1.

Undun - The Roots

Killer Mike - Pl3dge

Pac Div - Mania

Top Singles
Nas - Nasty

Kendrick Lamar - ADHD/Watch for Detox

The Vent - Big K.R.I.T

BET Cypher - Slaughterhouse

Otis - Kanye West/Jay-Z

Other musical notes

Thanks to Slaughterhouse for bringing real rap raw to the mainstream. With backing from Em, these guys tear up any beat, any mic that is put in front of them.

These guys >>>>> Your fav rapper

In addition, 2011 will be remember for the year of the resurgence of relevant white rappers. MGK, Yelawolf, Mac Miller to name a few are not only talented, but also dont try to "be black" or be something there are not (example Riff Raff). But at the same time, somebody left the door open for the Riff Raffs and Kreashawns(--->) of the world. The popcorn sound that is being passed off as music I guess has passed me by. Maybe I'm too old or too smart for my own good, but this trash is all over the radio and youtube. Lets be real and call trash what it is from now on and quit giving out passes for being white, or a female, or blind, or stupid.

Speaking of STUPID
This is where fashion is heading. Don't the utes of today realize that we didn't even wear some of the crazy stuff they trying to bring back.

On to sports.....
2011 was a crazy, then boring, then unexpectedly crazy year all wrapped into about 6 months of total action. Since nobody really watches baseball until the playoffs, lockouts in the NFL and NBA, along with the traditional scandals in NCAA with money and boosters, these stories dominated the headlines and rightfully so.
The NFL lockout was about money, a few health issues, and more money. The only good thing is that both sides knew it was about money and the bickering was only a posturing to ensure neither side would bluff the other side into something stupid.  The rookie pay scale was atrocious, the health issues that they stated they wanted to fix couldn't possible be a long term solution. Its football. People are paid to literally kill the person in front of them running full speed.

To some, it was a test run for how fans could possibly react to a NBA lockout, even though the fan bases are totally different and totally segregated. The NBA lockout was also something that could have been somewhat avoided but egos got in the way. Need proof? Look at the next pic and remember how that went down.
How sweet would this have been for not only Laker fans, but for New Orleans, Houston, and potentially Orlando and the eventual Dwight Howard trade?
Speaking of scandals, Penn St has a long way to go before they get the blood off their hands of the child molestation that took place. They might have just gave Dexter ideas for season 9. What if Dexter would have been on the case? Who would end up meeting his dark passenger and in what order? Of course he gets the main guy Sandusky, but does he let Joe Pa walk?

Speaking of Dexter, 5 questions for next season...
1. Does Dexter "love" Deb back?
2. Does Dex find the missing hand at his apartment?
3. How does La Guerta put the pressure on Deb?
4. Are Quinn and Angel gonna have a real fight or does the black guy get a better role?
5. Does Nerd Boy turn into a serial killer?

Since I brought up Dexter, another Showtime program has me hooked. Don't say I never warned you. This show is the BOMB....literally and figuratively.

Enough with the bad news....
Love him or hate him, he still cant throw a damn ball to save his life.
Rob Gronkowski is a beast.
                        Rob Gronkowski is a beast.
Rob Gronkowski is a beast.
                       Rob Gronkowski is a beast.
Rob Gronkowski is a beast.
                       Rob Gronkowski is a beast.

Now that is settled, the other TE in New England isnt bad either, Hernandez.
Aaron Rodgers ripped up 2011 like nobodies business. 15-1 in regular season. Super Bowl Champ and MVP. Discount double check commercials that are funny. Hey Favre, tell me how my ass taste?
Not to be outshined, Drew Brees cruised past Dan Marino's record to the tune of 5,476 yards. With the league becoming more pass happy and quarterback friendly, this record will hold up for I would say less than 2 yrs. Good piece on ESPN thinks so too.
This is a sore spot or me but Eli is passing up big brother Peyton. Peyton held my Colts hostage this year by not really being able to heal correctly, not his fault, but 3 neck surgeries? Nobody even knows if Peyton can even play again. Not to mention that first overall pick might spell like Luck? Meanwhile Eli is back in playoffs with sneaky good team. They run well, throw a mean deep ball to Victor Cruz and play enough defense to win, especially vs pass first teams. Sound familiar?

Let's not forget about the Dream Team, Philly Eagles. Sure they didn't live up to expectations but they made it interesting down the stretch. The Eagles are bringing back their same team next year and probably a real defensive coordinator. Not to mention Fraction Jackson will have some change in his pocket....

I'm just saying.

Memo to the haters:
Superman is in the building.

And Robin too.

Speaking of Batman and LeRobin, the Heatles are going back to the Finals. People give them a lot of flack for being the "big 3" but the whole league is full of tandems and always have been. As long as LeBron can show his face in the 4th quarter, they are the hands down favorites to win this year. But if LeBron disappears in the 4th like his hairline, he might as well pull a MJ and go bald.

Let's be real, Dallas got hot at the right time, had the right pieces and won the championship. They deserved it.
This young man is awesome. Some may say he needs to work on his interviewing skills, but he is a highlight reel waiting to happen. If he had anything that looked like help on his team, I would break out my old Chicago Bulls starter jacket.

Shout out to Albert Pujols for getting that money. As a lifelong St Louisan, let me be the first to enlighten dumb outsiders and insiders. The Cardinals never pay for Black/Brown talent. The whole situation could have been avoided had they not tried to play him with the low ball contract in dollars or years. Then for the dumb fans to say he is a traitor for taking more money and extending his baseball life (which in turn would allow him to potentially break more records, hence even more money), KILL YOURSELF. Nobody turns down money, rich people, poor people, nobody. Newsflash for Cardinal fans, its not like the Cubs or Brewers are getting any better instantly, you have time to find your next Pujols.  Oh wait, there will never be another one. Oh, dang. Well you should have paid the man. Seriously, the Cards will still win 80-85 games, get wild card and lose to the Marlins. lol

So, its 2012 and....

Now we have to deal with Lil Kim and North Korea. The day after Big Kim died, Lil Kim was playing with all the toys, launching missiles, firing all the big guns, and such.

So what are we, the United States of Freedom gonna do about this?

Just as long as Lil Kim doesnt take down the Playstation Network for 3 months again, we aighhht.

We also gonna have all the crazies coming out this year with the perceived end of the world coming.

Does that mean that tithes should not be made out to the "building fund"?

The Mayan calendar calls for the world to end on December 21, 2012. If we make it pass there, I will write a wrap up for 2012.

Spot Me some Football 10

1. Tebowmania - You drinking the koolaid?
Ebizz:I am not a Tebow fan as much as I like that he is shutting all of his doubters up. Will it last for long? I dont know really but its surely entertaining.
DProfessor: I'm not drinking the koolaid but I'm not pouring sugar either. He is doing enough to get the job done. But he is getting a lot of help from not only his D, but the opposing teams defense. How is it that teams 1. Can't muster more than 10 pts? 2. Call a Cover 2/3 after not playing Cover 2 the whole game until the last 2 mins of the game/overtime? 3. Teams drop in coverage against somebody that can't throw? All that being said....he is getting it done vs some below average teams with only 1 playoff team in mix and 2 teams in top 15 defenses. Not his fault but....I'm just saying.
Beans: NOPE.  See rationale Below.

2. Is it Tebow or Defense?
Ebizz: Its definitely a combination of both. To say Tebow has not made a difference would be ridiculous. Obviously Orton did not have this team in the same position when he was the starter........
Beans: It is definitely the defense.  I give credit where credit is due, but really?  This record that the Broncos has earned this season can attributed mainly to the defense.  As a matter of fact I kind of feel sorry for that Defense.  No output on offense, Continuous pressure to hold opponents to less than 2 tds, and then getting no credit for doing so.  Man this defense is the media's Rodney Dangerfield.
DProfessor: I'm going to have to give it 50/50 split I guess. The plan is only complete when both sides complement each other. Tebow slows the game down, lets the Def rest and then strings together a few drives to put up fgs and late tds to get the glory.

3. Cam Newton or Tebow - Who would you rather have?
Ebizz: Killa Cam. He is the total package. And again proving all his doubters WRONG!..... Cam will be one if the best quarterbacks in the league for years to come, Te;bow doesnt even know if he will bea starting quarterback next year.
Beans:  It depends.  If I have a solid defense that does not allow more than 17 points a game (during Tebow's "Winning" Streak the Broncos defense is allowing an average of 17 points a game) - Tebow.  If My defense is $hit and I have to air it out every game to win - Cam.  Easy.
DProfessor: I'm going to have to be racist and go with the black guy. The Panthers were leading 12 out of 13 games this year. With the 22nd ranked defense, it is not all his fault that they can't hold on to the lead. It's not like you are supposed to lean on a rookie to win all these games for you. Another year for Cam and the offense heavy NFC South, I see them pushing for the playoffs.

4. NFL MVP?
Ebizz: Mr. Rodgers hands down. It is safe to say that Aaron Rodgers is on an elite level now, and has proven it game after game this season.
Beans: Rodgers - No Contest Right now.
DProfessor: Aaron Rodgers already got the check and car for this award in his garage.

5. Can Packers go Undefeated?
Ebizz: Yes. Even though loosing they lost Greg Jennings for two weeks, I still dont see them loosing. The Packers are playing on another level right now....
Beans: If Rodgers doesn't miss any games.  I hear that they will rest players the last 2 weeks of the season.  That will affect their "perfect" season.  Those games are against the Bears and Lions too.
DProfessor: The only shot to lose is versus Detroit in the last game of the year. THey play KC and the Bears, two teams that couldn't stop Tebow or Dirty Sanchez. Detroit however may have revenge on their hands, not to mention, it would be their Super Bowl.

6. Sam Hurd moving weight?
Ebizz: Listening to too much Pusha T during pre game? Its really a shame how these athletes throw their chances away like this. You cant keep one foot in the street and one foot out. And so we see the choice this fool made. ........smh.
DProfessor: I plead the fif. But this fool stated to use Mexican cell phones because the Feds can't listen to those calls. Really? This is what's wrong with today's youth.
Beans: This guy was trying to move BIG weight.  He didn't have a partner that could do the meet and greet?  He didn't get the picture when his car and $88,000 in cash were confiscated before?  This guy just doesn't get it, and deserved to get caught.

7. Super Bowl Matchup - Who you got?
Ebizz:  There are a few teams with a that are sneaky good this year. Green Bay is still undefeated, Steelers always have a chance as long as Big Ben is playing, New Orleans has reemerged, San Fran is looking extra dominant as well. So, going out on a limb, I will say Steelers and Green Bay is the Superbowl.
Beans:  Packers vs. Ravens - Ravens Super Bowl Champs
DProfessor: Just for giggles, I going to say GB gets knocked off and Giants take it in NFC and Patriots win in AFC after Houston knocks off Baltimore and Pats get limping Steelers.

8. LSU vs Bama II - Another Pillowfight?
Ebizz: I dont know about pillowfight. The game was all about defense, and which will hold up the longest against the others offense. My favorite style of game. Both average about 30 + points a game so I expect alot more scoring this 2nd time around.
Beans: Definitely the two best teams in the country.  I don't understand all the hate for the SEC.  It's very clear that this is the best conference in the NCAA and has been for the better part of a decade.  Sure the last time these two met it was a bit of a snore, but when good teams go against each other sometimes that happens.  I look for this one to be more high scoring.  LSU still comes out on top though.
DProfessor: I give up on college football. The SEC may be good but I wont be watching this game. I would have preferred LSU vs Oklahoma State. Much better offense than Alabama, beat more top 25 teams, and its something new. I love college football but I'm not watching anymore bowl seasons until there is a playoff.

9. 1st pick in NFL draft will be.....
Ebizz:  I can tell you who it should be... Robert Griffin III aka RG3.  Im not as big on Luck as the media is tryin to force me to be. He has not shown me anything to convince me he is the best player coming out. But as for RG3, the numbers speak for themself. 3,998 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, 644 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns
Beans: It should still be Andrew Luck.  Does Indy trade down or draft to send message to Peyton??
DProfessor: I'm not sold on Luck either but I guess he has all of the intangibles, he is a little more mobile than Peyton, can throw and calls his own plays. But if you watch Stanford, he is only as good as his running game. I'm pretty sure he is not throwing to any studs but that scares me.

10. Peyton Manning - Is he done in Indy?
Ebizz: If Peyton is able to recover from that neck injury then no, he is not done. They should definitely draft a quarterback anyway because the display we see from these other qb's is horrific. And if they draft a quality qb and Peyton comes back and goes down again with another injury you will have a better backup plan in place than Painter.
Beans: He's signed til 2016.  We've seen QBs miss significant time then come back and not miss a beat.  I certainly hope that is what happens to Peyton.  A cervical neck fusion does not sound good by any means, but if he comes back slinging the ball as he has in prior years, he'll silence all doubters.
DProfessor: If this were the NBA, Peyton would be the amnesty player like Gilbert "2 Guns Up" Arenas. I think Peyton is done. Retirement. Why not hire him to coach? Even if he doesn't retire, Reggie Wayne, Mathis, and few other guys are free agents. Its time to start over like the Lakers.

10 spot Basketball edition

Spot me 10 - NBA edition

1. NBA lockout is over. Your reaction
Ebizz:
i think the lockout is something that has to happen because of how times continue to change and our economy continues to change. i do not like how alot of the greed stood out (in my opinion) from both sides players and owners..
DProfessor: Truthfully it was some Thursday nights that I missed the NBA. Other than than, this is a good time to start the season. NFL is wrapping up, NCAA football is done minus the pillow fight of a BCS game, NCAA hoops is starting to jump off, BAM - in comes the NBA on Xmas and damn near games non-stop until May. Crazy thing is the owners still can't save themselves from themselves. Contracts came down but you know they still gonna draft on potential vs proves guys, still overpay the Tyson Chandler's of the world, and still make dumb trades.

2. Christmas day tip off's. Should this always be the start of the season?
Ebizz: i would not be mad if the season started on christmas every year. Around that time football starts to slow down a little and basketball starts to make its way toward the forefront. also with a christmas day start, we can get involved in
college a little more as opposed to waiting until tourney time
DProfessor: Couldn't agree more. I would still love the 82 game schedule but that would just push the season until July with the Finals. But who cares, its not like we watching baseball.

3. CP3 held hostage by the league
Ebizz: Can we say UNFAIR?? I understand the NBA wants to put their foot down, but eventually that foot will be placed in mouth. Because eventually you have to give the man what he wants, why not get something out of the deal why you can? Oh wait, I guess that why you have people who make realistic basketball decisions in these positions, not the damn NBA itself
DProfessor: For all the people that said that MJ, McHale, Danny Ainge, and every other GM had bad trade and personnel decisions, where are you know??? That was the BEST trade NO will get for Paul unless Rene and Rasta Monsta have something to do with it. That inital Laker - Houston - NO deal worked for ALL sides, which is a rarity. Then the Clippers deal was even more over the top. Those types of trades wouldn't fly in fantasy bball, let alone on NBA2k.

4. What Will D-Howard do?
Ebizz:
Of course New Jersey/ Brooklyn wants him long term, but if the Nets cannot pull off a big signing to play along with D will, I think he will take his talents elsewhere. My Lakers can surely use him( and btw..who gives a care wtf shaq hating ass will have to say about this)
dwight howard with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (misha, member of Celticsblog) gif
DProfessor: He needs his own lane. If he goes to LA, he might as well change is name to Shaq Jr. and that might be an insult to Shaq Sr. Take his talents to Brooklyn, make a Roc Nation mixtape, and start hanging out with 50 cent and the Money Team.

5. Rookies you want to see
Ebizz: Mr Kemba Walker and also Kyrie Irving...Both are exciting. Kemba will always be lights out, and Kyrie has everything you want in a point guard. With time they will both be good NBA players.
DProfessor: Of course Kyrie and Kemba, but how about Marshon Brooks? The Celtics are getting old and if they can find time for Von Wafer, Brooks has got to get some shine in these back to back to back nights. Besides, with all these supersteams starting to pop up, it would be cool if Rondo can assemble him a team along with buying a jumpshot during the offseason.

6. Who had the best offseason?
Ebizz: Hands down the Pacers. They've acquired George Hill, OJ Mayo, and David West to a team that was pretty damn good already. Also Clippers who picked up Caron Butler, and Chauncey Billups
DProfessor: The Pacers. They are also trying to swing Jamal Crawford too. Say what you want, but they played good for their team down the stretch. Dear small market teams, this is how you structure a team.

7. Offseason loosers?
Ebizz:
My damn Lakers. Not only did we loose Phil, we loss Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown with nothing in return...smh
DProfessor: I will just say the Lakers and Chris Paul and leave it alone.

8. Eddy Curry to the Heat?????????

Image
Ebizz: Who what when and WHY? Would have been easier to just sign Kwame. He sucks just as bad, and he (unlike Curry) has actually active in the league the last few years. On a side note: Kwame signed a $7 million dollar deal.... (we just had a lockout where the owners talked about ways to save money, then they turn around and give this guy this much money?!Terrible)

DProfessor: Every team needs a goon. Either he is on HGH or slim-fast. Nice pick up in Shane Battier though. Given their cap inflexibility, the Heat had to get a big body some kind of way. And they let Mike Bibby fly to NY.

9. Nene's destination?

Ebizz: I thought he would have been a perfect fit for the Heat. A grimey and aggressive big who can score as well. New Jersey would be a great fit for Nene, if he is not interested in winning anytime soon. Other than that, Houston, Portland, Boston should be making a push for him because they all need him
DProfessor: I think Nene on the Pujols Pay Me Plan. He either stays in Denver where he can make max money or goes somewhere with some money like.....Orlando? Chicago?

10. Will the Mavericks repeat?

Ebizz: I say that right now the Mavs are making some sneaky moves. They stole Odom from us, signed Rudy and let a few pieces walk. Im thinking that they are trying to make something else big happen down there. But at this moment I cannot say yes because of how unpredictable the post season was last year (Memphis Grizz and the Pacers)
DProfessor: Neah. They got hot last year and there can't be much left in the tank for JKidd. No more JJ Barea, aka Laker killer, aka slowest guy to ever make a layup. I don't see how they get back to that level with Caron Butler (who helped them out to the great record they had) and Tyson Chandler.

Sandusky Sex Tape

This just leaked. Very graphic and not suitable for all ages. Please be advised that this is very graphic.
