Ebizz: If Peyton is able to recover from that neck injury then no, he is not done. They should definitely draft a quarterback anyway because the display we see from these other qb's is horrific. And if they draft a quality qb and Peyton comes back and goes down again with another injury you will have a better backup plan in place than Painter.

10 spot Basketball edition
Spot me 10 - NBA edition
1. NBA lockout is over. Your reaction
Ebizz: i think the lockout is something that has to happen because of how times continue to change and our economy continues to change. i do not like how alot of the greed stood out (in my opinion) from both sides players and owners..
2. Christmas day tip off's. Should this always be the start of the season?
Ebizz: i would not be mad if the season started on christmas every year. Around that time football starts to slow down a little and basketball starts to make its way toward the forefront. also with a christmas day start, we can get involved in
college a little more as opposed to waiting until tourney timeDProfessor: Couldn't agree more. I would still love the 82 game schedule but that would just push the season until July with the Finals. But who cares, its not like we watching baseball.
3. CP3 held hostage by the leagueDProfessor: For all the people that said that MJ, McHale, Danny Ainge, and every other GM had bad trade and personnel decisions, where are you know??? That was the BEST trade NO will get for Paul unless Rene and Rasta Monsta have something to do with it. That inital Laker - Houston - NO deal worked for ALL sides, which is a rarity. Then the Clippers deal was even more over the top. Those types of trades wouldn't fly in fantasy bball, let alone on NBA2k.
Ebizz: Can we say UNFAIR?? I understand the NBA wants to put their foot down, but eventually that foot will be placed in mouth. Because eventually you have to give the man what he wants, why not get something out of the deal why you can? Oh wait, I guess that why you have people who make realistic basketball decisions in these positions, not the damn NBA itself
4. What Will D-Howard do?
Ebizz: Of course New Jersey/ Brooklyn wants him long term, but if the Nets cannot pull off a big signing to play along with D will, I think he will take his talents elsewhere. My Lakers can surely use him( and btw..who gives a care wtf shaq hating ass will have to say about this)DProfessor: He needs his own lane. If he goes to LA, he might as well change is name to Shaq Jr. and that might be an insult to Shaq Sr. Take his talents to Brooklyn, make a Roc Nation mixtape, and start hanging out with 50 cent and the Money Team.
5. Rookies you want to seeDProfessor: Of course Kyrie and Kemba, but how about Marshon Brooks? The Celtics are getting old and if they can find time for Von Wafer, Brooks has got to get some shine in these back to back to back nights. Besides, with all these supersteams starting to pop up, it would be cool if Rondo can assemble him a team along with buying a jumpshot during the offseason.
Ebizz: Mr Kemba Walker and also Kyrie Irving...Both are exciting. Kemba will always be lights out, and Kyrie has everything you want in a point guard. With time they will both be good NBA players.
6. Who had the best offseason?DProfessor: The Pacers. They are also trying to swing Jamal Crawford too. Say what you want, but they played good for their team down the stretch. Dear small market teams, this is how you structure a team.
Ebizz: Hands down the Pacers. They've acquired George Hill, OJ Mayo, and David West to a team that was pretty damn good already. Also Clippers who picked up Caron Butler, and Chauncey Billups
7. Offseason loosers?DProfessor: I will just say the Lakers and Chris Paul and leave it alone.
Ebizz: My damn Lakers. Not only did we loose Phil, we loss Lamar Odom and Shannon Brown with nothing in return...smh
DProfessor: Every team needs a goon. Either he is on HGH or slim-fast. Nice pick up in Shane Battier though. Given their cap inflexibility, the Heat had to get a big body some kind of way. And they let Mike Bibby fly to NY.
8. Eddy Curry to the Heat?????????
Ebizz: Who what when and WHY? Would have been easier to just sign Kwame. He sucks just as bad, and he (unlike Curry) has actually active in the league the last few years. On a side note: Kwame signed a $7 million dollar deal.... (we just had a lockout where the owners talked about ways to save money, then they turn around and give this guy this much money?!Terrible)
DProfessor: I think Nene on the Pujols Pay Me Plan. He either stays in Denver where he can make max money or goes somewhere with some money like.....Orlando? Chicago?
9. Nene's destination?Ebizz: I thought he would have been a perfect fit for the Heat. A grimey and aggressive big who can score as well. New Jersey would be a great fit for Nene, if he is not interested in winning anytime soon. Other than that, Houston, Portland, Boston should be making a push for him because they all need him
10. Will the Mavericks repeat?
Ebizz: I say that right now the Mavs are making some sneaky moves. They stole Odom from us, signed Rudy and let a few pieces walk. Im thinking that they are trying to make something else big happen down there. But at this moment I cannot say yes because of how unpredictable the post season was last year (Memphis Grizz and the Pacers)

"In single coverage, it’s automatically coming to me"
Calvin Johnson: In single coverage, it’s automatically coming to me
NFL players aren’t usually in the business of publicly revealing their teams’ game plans, but Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has let the cat out of the bag on one aspect of the Lions’ offensive scheme: In single coverage, he’s getting the ball.
Johnson was asked about the Lions’ play call for his game-winning touchdown on Sunday against the Cowboys, and Johnson said that the Lions’ offense when they’re near the goal line isn’t brain surgery: If Matthew Stafford looks over and sees Johnson covered by only one defensive back, he’s throwing it up and trusting Johnson to out-leap that defensive back, regardless of what was called in the huddle.
“If we get that single coverage, it’s automatic it’s coming up to me,” Johnson said.
In one respect, it’s pretty bold of Johnson to declare publicly that every defense facing the Lions can count on him getting the ball if they single cover him. On the other hand, it’s not exactly breaking news: I noted previously this season, when the Chiefs twice left Johnson in single coverage with the Lions at the 1-yard line, that anyone who watches the Lions knows that throwing it up to Johnson is their favorite goal-line play.
But while no one should be surprised that the Lions are going to Johnson at the goal line, Johnson was surprised that Rob Ryan’s Cowboys defense left him one-on-one withTerence Newman on the game’s pivotal play.
“When I went out there I was surprised,” Johnson said of seeing only Newman on him. “I knew it was coming from the get-go.”
And every defense that faces the Lions from here on out should know it’s going to Johnson if they single cover him.
