Got a minute....Get Away From Me Brett Favre
Brought to you by getaway2daytravel, will somebody please cut the cord on the Brett Favre news?
Brett Favre is walking his dog.
Brett Favre can slam a revolving door.
Brett Favre is teaching the offense to the offensive coordinator.
Brett Favre counted to infinity - twice.
Brett Favre ordered a Big Mac at Burger King...and got one.
Well you get the picture. One actually noteworthy Favre news is that he is dirty.

NFL 10spot
1. Pacman goes >Fishing
DProfessor - You telling me that Adam Jones is not better than 50% of the db's in the league and has to go to Canada to find a job? Not that I am a fan, but I can't even name the starting corners on the Rams. Can u? This is a travesty. A shammockery.
Ebizz - This is not a case of skill on the field, but stupidity off the field.....remember our last 10 spot??? No one wants to take another gamble on this guy and I cannot blame em.
2. Who's the next Cassel?
DProfessor - Not only did Tom the Great Brady get suplexed by Fat Albert and the Redskins, Matt Cassel goes down this week in KC. So the question is can Belicheck find the next Cassel and can Tyler Thigpen fill Cassel's shoes in KC? New England just cut their 2nd string qb and only Andrew Walter is left on the roster. My money is on Belicheck, not the Chiefs.
Ebizz - Simple...the great Belicheck. His track record is almost impeccable.
3. TV Blackouts and NFL Package
DProfessor - The NFL is about to make a tough stance on the blackout policy during this recession. As posted here, the Jax Jags are down to 25k in season ticket sales. I guess the fans don't like the Garrard era or post crack head Matt Jones era. I know I have been a beneficiary of Rams blackout games last year but I don't want to be forced to follow Brett Favre.
Ebizz - Well not to mention the guy who played for the "jackville" jags who was gunned down last year.... Maybe this is a sign in most areas that the times are too hard to think about a damn pigskin past time anymore???? I do not believe it myself.
4. Fantasy Update
DProfessor - Doesn't everybody usually feel good after they draft their team? Sure their are a few holes that you spot off the top, but generally a nice collection of guys. A few guys I need to come through are Ronnie Brown, Peyton Manning, Steve Smith, and Smash and Dash. If not, I'm screwed.
Ebizz - I like Kevin Boss to get some number for the Big Blue, Percy Harvin, Leon Washington, maybe Cribbs. DProfessor is running my team so he should have filled out my segment as well....damn.
Predictions
5. MVP
DProfessor - The easy choice is Tom Brady. I am going to go Aaron Rodgers. The Pack are going to put up some numbers. The one problem is that the defense is vastly improved. I am going to go Rodgers first, runner up of Manning/Brady.
Ebizz - All Day Adrian Peterson for MVP. His numbers should rise that much more higher with a presence of a descent qb handing off the ball. Who can stop him??????
6. Best Record
DProfessor - Baltimore Ravens. They play the NFC North and AFC West, only the NFC West would have been easier. Throw in a great defense, stellar running game and emerging qb in Flacco, I think the Ravens can claim a 13-3 or 12-4 season. I don't think anybody wins more than 13 games this year.
Ebizz - Best record will be wrapped up by one of four teams.....Patriots, Eagles, Colts, or Steelers.
7. Everyone's Favorite Loser
The team that is receiving the most love in the media and will fall on their face.
DProfessor - Philadelphia. I love the speed the Eagles have but they lost that 3rd corner, lost their MLB, lost their safety in Dawkins, and I don't trust Westbrook over the 16 games. McCoy seems like a great rook but I don't see that go to WR in the lineup yet.
Ebizz - I actually like the chances the Eagles have. Even though they lost some key defensive players, I still say they have enough to emerge to the playoffs and a great season. The team I pick to fail is America's own Dallas Cowboys. Now or never is the time for Romo to step up and play good more than half a season. He was pampered by the Cowboys removing all distractions so he can concentrate (wait isn't he a professional getting paid to do this already??), and lets not even talk about the new number one option Roy Williams.........
8. Surprise Team to make the Playoffs
DProfessor - San Francisco. 2 reasons - 1. They play in the NFC West. 2. Somebody has to win that division. IF, big if, they can sign Crabtree and get him up to speed by week 10, they could run the gammit with games versus STL, Philly, Detroit, Ariz, Seat, and Jax.
Ebizz - I see no surprises as far as teams in the playoffs.... I will say that I think New Orleans is ready to give a run for their division title.
9. Final Four
DProfessor - Baltimore, New England, Giants, Packers. My beloved Colts will not be able to compete without Bob Sanders.
Ebizz - Vikings, Giants, New England, Steelers.
10. Super Bowl Champ
DProfessor - New England. When all things are equal, go with good coaching and the long ball. Chicks dig the long ball.
Ebizz - Pittsburgh looks as dynamic as they did last year and they are going to do the impossible and win back to back....Hopefully those who still hate on Big Ben with silly reasoning can finally lay off if he gets a 3rd ring.
Bonus - Super Bowl prediction is a running bet. Loser has to either go Mr. T for a week or Army buzz. Pick your poison. If neither of the Super Bowl picks make it, the team with the most from the Final Four is the winner.

10spot - Monday Aug 31
1. Brett Favre
Ebizz - The sage continues for yet another season with this Favre indecisiveness. Is he going to continue for the next couple of years going from team to team ruining franchises or will this be his last go-round?"
Professor D - I'm with Ebizz. He is messing up fantasy keeper leagues every year. And besides, wasn't their other younger qbs available that can lead the league in interceptions? Speaking of younger qbs....
2. Micheal Vick
Ebizz - To all Peta supporters: Sorry but Mr. Vick has suffered enough already! Let him play football in peace. The Philadelphia Eagles and Vick came to an agreement and he will play this 2009 season. For how many games is he getting the opportunity to play is the question that no one can answer but Mr. Godell.
Professor D - Daddy Goodell is protecting his brand image to the best of his abilities...I commend him for that. But lets be real, Vick is treating 2009 as one big training camp. The Eagles are going to audition him out if things turn bad late in the year. Lets not forget this is the best division in the NFC (sorry NFC South).
3. Steve McNair
Ebizz - The late great Steve McNair was a tragic victim of homicide on July 4th, 2009. His presence on the game of football was heavy and he will be greatly missed..........
Professor D - Steve McNair is a great football player. He enhanced and moved the "black qb" to the next level. Say what you say about his personal life, it was his life and he had to deal with those consequences. In this case, it was a pretty bad decision.
4. Donte Stallworth
Ebizz - Stallworth gave the NFL a real black eye when he struck and killed a pedestrian this summer in Miami. It also didnt help that his alcohol levels were thru the roof as well.
Professor D - And he messed up the Bentley. Rims just bent all up on the curb. He served 24 days and was suspended indefinitely. Rae Carruth has got to be kicking himself.
5. Plaxico Burress
Ebizz - New York City is trying to show that they mean business, but what sense is it to lock up a guy for so long who had no negative intentions with his weapon, and the only one who suffered was himself with a bullet wound. Yet killing a person or a dog must be looked at as less of a crime??? i dunno....See you in 2 years.
Professor D - Burress better hope for a lockout next year so he can plant the seed of everyone being out for 2010 and not just him. We are almost done with the legal wrapup of the week....We promise.
6.Pac Man
Ebizz - Video surface from the infamous night when Pac Man Jones was making it rain on some chicks in the strip club. Shouts out to Nelly reppin the Lou with a big stack of one-dollar bills on stage as well. The video link here
Professor D - I dont see any signs of recession in that video. This video just reinforces something I have thought but never proven...East St. Louis has the best strip clubs.
7.Tom Brady
Ebizz - Tom Brady will step back into his starting position with the Patriots. While Brady was out, he gave room for Matt Cassell to make a name for himself and even get himself a starting role with the Kansas City Chiefs (ironically the team that hurt Brady...conspiracy?).
Professor D - Brady to Moss. Brady to Moss. Oh what the hell....Brady to Moss again. Patriots to the AFC Championship game minimum.
8. Tim Tebow
Ebizz - Mr. Im Already Famous decided to stay in college for his senior year and attempt to defend his National Championship, again. What else is there on campus for him to accomplish ?? Well I guess there are new females to enroll this year......lots of parties.........ummm I understand now. Let him be a kid and enjoy what he has while it is there. Besides where would Tebow start in the NFL if he did leave instead of returning to college this year??? Exactly
Professor D - Did you forget that he is a virgin? Maybe it is the Bill Clinton corollary of what constitutes sexual relations? Is it just the tip going in or does felacio count?
9. Rick Pitino
Ebizz - Pitino was a victim of extortion by a young lady he banged out of a restaurant bathroom in Louisville; while his wife and kids are at home maybe wondering where if all is ok with him. All I have to say is that Pitino is lucky. If this was a coach with not as large a name or even a player, they would have instantly lost a job!
Professor D - One question - how nasty are you to get it on with a chick on a bathroom floor of any public place? I barely want to touch the door handle or sink to turn on the water. Slick Rick has some serious issues.
Odd ball question of the week
10. Jay-Z
Ebizz - With all the anticipation from fans in the world. Jay-z is set to release the Blueprint 3 September 11th. Will this album live up to Blueprint 1? or will this be another Kingdom Come? Lets pray for Blueprint 1 because anything else will be a big disappointment.
Professor D - I have heard a few of the songs that leaked, not too impressed. Maybe he is saving that heat for the album. We at least know two people that will love it...shout out to Big Bro and LT Smooth. lol
