Road Test Disappointing 10

1. Mayweather vs Ortiz
EBizz: This another waist of money for the ones who went the Pay Per View route. There was actually a decent fight taking place. At least up until Ortiz lost his cool with the headbutt. He was penalized and all by the ref, but you know Floyd had to have the last laugh. In a fight Mayweather was winning , I dont see the reason for taking a cheap shot like that.... No one ever thought that this would be an upset, just wanted a good fight.
DProfessor: Let me start by saying Ortiz is a bum too, he deserved to get knocked out, but a traditional knockout would have been my preference. I guess it was a decent fight before all the drama. But I'm with you, unless it says Pacquiao vs Mayweather, Mayweather is off my "to do" list (no homo). Unlike Pacman, Mayweather has to either wait til you get old or wait til the ref is not looking to knock somebody out. I think we are all in agreement that this guy is and has been running from Pac for a while now. I know black folks feel like he undefeated, but this aint football or basketball where they make the schedule a year before, this is a pick who you fight sport. Unlike the UFC where you have to fight the best (google Anderson Silva), boxing is so watered down now that we as consumers are desperate to see a good fight that we have to resort to taking what this bum gives us. But that was the last straw.

2. Who's to Blame: Mayweather or the Ref?
EBizz: I blame the ref. You cant give blame to someone who acts within the rules really. I never was a big fan of Mayweather but always had much respect for his elite skill set. and I think that he was janky for that, but its not the first time he pulled off a move similar to that one.

this was my reaction after the knock down

DProfessor: I will push and say both. The Ref was ready to get back to the hotel so he could watch In The Heat of the Night and Mayweather was ready to go fight his baby momma new boyfriend at Club Pure in Caesars. But it was a low class sucker punch, well deserved sucker punch but cheap shot nonetheless. That was typical Negro tactics though, how many WSHH videos do you see Katt Williams walking around after the fight like he was Hollywood Cole? This is the culture somehow that we live in where the person that starts the fight or gets the knockout shot is the person that had the least amount to do with the fight to begin with. Call me old school, but Floyd should have beat his ass for real in the course of the fight.

3. Fight of Century? Will it Happen?
EBizz: This is perfect opportunity for the fight we all been waiting for...If not whats the point?
DProfessor: I wouldnt bet a wooden nickel at an Amish Parade to benefit the Sisters of the Blind while saving Cancer and contributing to the building fund of the New Ebenezer Spiritual Church of God in Christ New Tabernacle of Christian Advocates of Latter Day Saints. In other words, not a chance. Only thing Floyd runs more than his mouth is running faster away from Pacman. IF.....if....he wants to be considered GOAT which he thinks he is, he has to make this fight happen. Maybe Pac will dress up like Larry Merchant and tell Floyd how he would "KICK HIS AZZ".
4. Better Game: Cam or Brady?
EBizz: Cam was impressive he proved alot of his haters wrong with his accuracy and yards thrown, but Brady had the better game, they won... and Brady is still breaking records this late in his career. What more can you say?
DProfessor: Can I push again? Brady had 520 yds or something crazy like that and Cam went HAM on one of the worst defenses in a losing effort in his 1st NFL game. I was more impressed with Cam because thanks to the NFL Package, I watched the game. Cam was poised in the pocket, wasn't looking to run and he was letting that ball rip. He had a few throws he wished he had back, but hell so does Peyton Manning and everybody in the league not named Brady. Brady has reached 2Pac status for me. He is in a class of his own. As much as I love the qb formerly known as Peyton Manning, he is no Tom Brady.

5. Surprise Game of Week
EBizz: The Redskins game. The Giants came out with a ot to prove this year and did nothing but loss to a Rex Grossman-led offense. That should never happen. I was shocked by the Steelers getting worked by the Raven like that also.
DProfessor: Anyone happen to catch the Steelers vs Ravens? I was on the record for calling the Ravens the aging team (on defense) but Reed and Lewis must sleep in hyperbarack chambers and not age. They are like Crown and Coke, never a bad combination.

6. Who needs to Bounce Back?
EBizz: The Saints need to Bounce Back. They went from winning a Superbowl two years ago to not making the playoffs last year. Where did all the swag go?
DProfessor: Between Atlanta who is playing Vick, McNabb who had 39 yards and the Steelers who got embarrassed, my money is on McNabb. They played a good team in San Diego but the Vikings Offense was anemic. They shouldn't drafted Dez Bryant or Julio Jones or somebody bc they are playing 13 in the box against Peterson.

7. Best conference NFC North vs AFC East?
EBizz: NFC North. If the Vikings can find a way to get it together that would be a division full of solid teams. You cannot take a day off up there... AFC East still has a few teams that Id like to show me a few things before I am all the way sold....
DProfessor: NFC North has one possible dog in Vikes and one possible pretender in the Bears. But I think the Bears are for real, cant account for that weather and improved offense, but the Bears did win the division last year. For the AFC East, same thing dog of Miami and pretender of Buffalo. I like Buffalo too, good young team, tough weather and good special teams like the Bears. I think the Super Bowl runs through these two divisions.

8. Jr Smith signs deal with league in China
EBizz: This is gone be a trend if the lockout does end soon. It already fucked up 2k12 (no rookies). Im sure somehow this will find a way to affect more aspects of my life as well. smdh....
DProfessor: Cant really blame him. Too bad they gonna tell him what all those tats really mean in Chinese.

9. Syracuse and Pitt to ACC
EBizz: I think it will add some balance to whole basketball equation. There are so many good teams in the Big East and so many that suck in the ACC.
DProfessor: Definitely a good move for basketball. I dont think ACC matters in football really anymore anyway. But this takes 2 teams out of the Big East basketball megahouse and lets them not beat themselves up as much during the season. Look for the Big East and ACC to make even more Final 4s now. WATCH.

10. Next Megaconference?
DProfessor: Why dont all the have nots get together and do something? Get Notre Dame, whats left of the Big 12, Army Navy, grab whats left of Big East and get 16 teams out of that joker.
EBizz: Im just gone agree with you. That is a great idea... I dont know what direction things are heading with all of the moves that are already taking place

Contracts and Deadlines

1. Albert Pujos worth $300 million?
Ebizz: No human being is worth that much. He better be a home run hitter, back catcher, pitcher, and sell peanuts for all that damn money. He does not even have 10 good years left, but even if he does those efforts wont amount to 30 million a year.
DProfessor: From a business standpoint, I see the Cardinals calling the bluff. But the Cardinal arrogance of we will be alright without him is typical St. Louis Good Ole Boys. Is he worth the money, thats up for debate. But if people like Jason Werth can get 7yr $126 mill, Pujols should get 30 mill a year. Hands down. I understand getting more people for the money but you cant replace star power.
Beans: Hell No he's not worth it.  That being said there is big hole in the Cubs' lineup that I'm sure Albert would have no problem filling. That would be nuts!   Hey, A-Rod got his why can't Albert get his too?

2.Charlie Sheen and a new Major League 4
Ebizz: Im with it. This is the only thing baseball I would watch other than my boy Kenny Powers....  Who cares about him abusing drugs and women. He is not the first and will not be the last but who gives a damn anyways. I enjoyed the first three and would not mind one more sequel.
Beans: Yeah right... He wasn't even in ML 3 that I remember.  Who would he play, the obnoxious fan that gets kicked out of the park after sniffing blow with prostitutes in the stands?
DProfessor: Charlie Sheen needs to go ahead and cash in with his own porn spoof. Just call it The Major League and be done with it. He probably already has the footage. Just needs to edit, cut, and add a soundtrack.

3. Cam Newton, and all the other quarterbacks
Ebizz: Cmon now. This guy did everything I expect Pujos to do if he gets this lottery contract. How was he not always considered the best qb? Is this a case of skin color??? There were a few other standout qb's, but none compared to Newton.
Beans: Same old story here.  Cam is the "same" can't miss prospect that (ahem) Vince Young was.  That is where the similarities end.  He is a physical specimen unlike most we've seen leaving the college ranks at the qb position.  He has a cannon for an arm, just wait until he gets "coached up."
DProfessor: Pay Cam his money. Difference between Cam and Vince, Cam actually has heart. Vince wins games though.

4. Jerry Sloan resigns
Ebizz: They say great athletes and coaches know when the best time is for them to call it quits....It just so happens that he did it at the same time controversy in Utah had risen. He should be a Hall of Famer someday for what he has done.
DProfessor: As most people are still wondering, I want to know was he tired of Williams. Did he just throw his hands up and say I'm cant take this $hit no more.
Beans: Ditto.  His time in this league was special and appreciated, but all good things come to an end.

5. Jerry West Statue
Ebizz: After they make a Kobe statue wont that make 3? They gone run outta statue space in a minute. But hey Im not complaining. Maybe this means they will update the NBA logo to somebody a little more present like...... number 23?
DProfessor: Jerry West is the only man to ever lose the game and win MVP. That should tell you how cold he was. That being said, I wouldnt mind MJ on the logo. The Jordan Brand should take over jerseys the way Reebok did with NFL.
Beans: West is already the logo, why shouldn't he have a statue to match in LA?  As for the logo... as much as I would love for there to be the likeness of MJ23 in the NBA logo, that logo is timeless.  Leave it as is.

6. Melo makes the Knicks a contender?
Ebizz: I think the biggest learning curve will come when its time to play some defense. This uncoached part of the game may bite them in the ass if the coach doesn't add this to his game plan. They now have a great nucleus to build on for the future at least. I can see Nash or Chris Paul in a Knick jersey. I would like to see a quality center alongside Amare as well.
DProfessor: They will average 100 pts a game and give up 110. Starting line up of Amare, Melo, Turiaf, Landry Fields, and Billups doesnt exactly pump fear into the Boston, Miami, Chicagos of the Eastern Conf.
Beans: Yeah a great nucleus based on the Defenseless D'antoni system.  This is the eastern conference - Where defense is what separates contenders from pretenders.  This move helps the Knicks, but does not make them contenders-Period.  This move seems Isiah-like on the surface, but the Knicks finally got something valuable while giving up draft picks and talent.  New York has two franchise players, now they just need a team.

7. Deron Williams to Nets?
Ebizz: If Utah didnt work i wonder how long this marriage will last, cuz the Nets not going no where.
DProfessor: Is it me or is all of the young talent moving to the East and the "veteran" teams are deeper in the West, minus Dookie and the Thunder? The Nets really didn't give up much but without Sloan, I don't think Devin Harris can reach his full potential. Trade is like 3 weeks too late.
Beans: I like Deron Williams.  In my opinion the second best pg in the league (After D-Rose, yeah I'm a homer).  Deron is tired of Utah and is looking for a change of scenery.  If somehow NY was able to bring D-Will in, that would add a major piece to the puzzle there.  They still need good role players and a change in defensive philosophy. I guess he will have to settle for Brooklyn.

8. Favorite basketball movie of all time
Ebizz: I would have to say it is a tie for me between Blue Chips with Nick Nolte and a classic combination of Shaq and Penny. A perfect storyline as well. The other would be Above the Rim which came from a more street angle and featured more than enough significant stars. I love both of em. Other notables were White Men Cant Jump and He Got Game.
DProfessor: Probably a tie with Blue Chips, Space Jam, and He Got Game. He Got Game took Blue Chips and showed the recruiting process that people are just now complaining about and visualized it. And any movie with Jesus Shuttlesworth as your main character gets my vote. Blue Chips is awesome. Nick Nolte as Bobby Knight type coach was right on time. Favorite part is when the white baller asks for money in one of those nice little gym bags.
Beans: White Men Can't Jump gets my vote.  Streetball with talented hoopers.  Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson played the hell out of those roles.  It actually looked like those guys could play ball.  Also, the young Rosie Perez was Woody's lady  too.  Nuff Said. Honorable Mention - Above the Rim, Hoosiers, and the Earl "The Goat" Manigalt movie with Don Cheadle.

9. Favorite Football movie of all time
Ebizz: The Program and Friday Night Lights
DProfessor: Any Given Sunday. Watch the video. The Real LT was in there too.
Beans: The Program is a classic, probably will never be topped in my book.  Honorable Mention - Any Given Sunday, Jerry McGuire, and Waterboy

10. Lingerie Football League
Ebizz: Are you kidding me? I think this is a kind of silly idea, but at the same time, if you give St. Louis a team I would probably be seen in the audience of at least one game. Sometimes a sport gets its real appreciation when you see it live. And I know fellas \can sure agree with me on this one. Hmmm maybe a lingerie basketball team may improve allstar weekend as well?
DProfessor: The games come on MTV 2 and  if you flicking through the channels, it sure as hell catches your eye. I think a lot of events could borrow the Lingerie theme, CNN, the weather channel, History network.
Beans: We actually have a LFL team here in Chicago.  If the games were televised I might actually watch.  But until someone delivers a career/season ending hit on another lady.... I'll pass.

Bonus: I watched a nice documentary on ESPN about the only Black driver to ever win a Nascar event. The story of Wendell Scott is represented by "A Story of Race". It should have been apart of the 30 for 30 movement but nonetheless. I enjoyed it. You can watch all 4 parts by clicking on this users youtube.

All Star Wrap It Up

1. NBA Allstar weekend
Ebizz:
Overall it was everything i figured it would be, but i still wanted alot better. Maybe if the competitions were as fun to watch as the dunk contest it would be more entertaining for me. But Charles Barkley is hilarious. Whats was Kanye thinking about with those tight ass jeans on??  and Shouts out to Rhianna and that itty bitty skirt tho.
DProfessor: Best part of the weekend was the commentary from Charles, Kenny and the crew. If Barkley had a reality show, I would watch it religiously. From Charles clowning Justin Beiber, to doing the dougie, I was throughly entertained. All Star weekend did live up to the hype. Better than any other sports hands down. Kanye - please take off those jeggins. Not a good look - Management.

2. Three Point contest
Ebizz
: I thought Ray would win but that Jones dude came thru in the end. I guess that bout all he is good for anyways.
DProfessor: Too bad Jones isn't clutch. He hasnt hit a game winner ever has he? Eddie House has demonstrated his uncanny eye for the big shot.
3.Dunk Contest
DProfessor: I would have like to see Derozan vs Blake for the finale. McGee had some nice gimmick dunks but you just figured they would run out soon. McGee under the basket was extra nice. The finale overall was a let down. The dunk over the car was ooookkk. For all the preaching that Kenny Smith was doing, I thought Moses Griffin was gonna split the red sea. I will say this, the best man won. Blake Griffin jumps with bad intentions. He sucks the air straight out the room. He is violent.
Ebizz:
I was very impressed by the quality of dunks and the extra theatrics as well. JaVelle McGee had the dunk with two balls and two hoops. Blake Griffin got handed the award from the home team. But no complaints from me. Maybe next year we can get some stars involved. LeBron nutted up and did not get in this year after saying he would.

4.Other Competitions
DProfessor:I liked the thought of Horse, but the execution is not TV ready. People have to be able to talk big game playing horse, and by talking $hit, I mean curse words and expletives. How about an All Star Draft like the NHL were they have two captains and they pick 2 teams that way.

Ebizz: A bunch of crap to me. Gotta get one on one, a dunk on a chump competition or something better than the mess we are forced to watch now. It is becoming more painful by the year to sit thru these silly events.

5.Allstar Game
Ebizz:
It was not that flashy type of game I was expecting to see overall. Kobe was business as usual as I expected to see. Derrick Rose is always impressive.
DProfessor: It was great to see the Heatles and Celtics get along. lol
6. NBA second half surprise team
DProfessor: Not to say that they will do anything in the playoffs but how about Golden State and Indiana Pacers? Both teams finally figuring out how to play with each other and getting healthy. Again, they wont win a playoff series but they will tire one of these old teams out.
Ebizz:
I wanna say the Spurs. They cannot keep playing at this amazing level....... Or can they?

7. Carmelo moves?
Ebizz:
I would love to see him with the Knicks, but apparently he does really care if its Knicks or Nets. Winning a championship seems not to be priority number one. Only if he was headed to Los Angelos........
DProfessor: For him to get the Knicks or Nets of all their talent instead of waiting until offseason is clearly a sign that these guys are scared it will be a lockout. Dumb move unless its strictly about the money.
8. Black Mamba, DWade and Kevin Hart, Cp3 Nike commercials
Ebizz
: There was a time when alot of effort was put into creating basketball shoe commercials and hopefully this is the start of that again. I finally saw the lil mini Black Mamba movie and that it was tight. I like those shoes as well. Dwade thinks he is a black James Bond... but i like this idea as well.
DProfessor: Those commercials are cool but this is my favorite commercial right now.

9. Ohio State on the road???

DProfessor: Nobody wins at Wisconsin. Noboby.
Ebizz:
They have been showing that they are human. On the road anyone can be beat, but this is when they are supposed to show they are elite. Win now loose later I guess, but I think they are OVERRATED..

10. What have you been listening to lately???
Ebizz:
Pharoahe Monch - Calculated Amalgamation, Still Standing ft Jill Scott dope trackx.
DProfessor: I been listening to Kidz Bop 18. They jamming on there. Some Black Eye Peas. Keeping it gangsta as usual.
Xtra credit
Ebizz:
Kenny Smith has a very very hot ass wife. This Spartacus mini series is on point!
DProfessor: Kenny Smith wins. Hand down man down. Apparently she was on Price is Right.

1. NFL Pro Bowl Game
Ebizz
: Who cares? What made this game even worse was putting it before the Superbowl.
DProfessor: Did you see the last play of the game? Two words - Pa Thetic. Maybe the other All-Star games are bad and they have other events that carry the weekend (NBA - Slam Dunk, MLB - Home Run, etc), but the NFL cant have Punt Pass and Kick. How about a celebrity game MTV style?

2.  Plaxico Burress
DProfessor: Last time I checked, Plexiglass was 6'5ish and great red zone target. You can't lose that in jail right? Maybe his hands got a better grip in the joint.
Ebizz:
Vick showed that convicts deserve another chance. Why not drop him in the NFC East with a certain role model by the name of Mike Vick? Philly can actually use him as well.

3. Superbowl Predictions
Ebizz: Pressure can be key. If the Steelers can get after Boy Wonder Rodgers early that can impact the game. I think Big Ben will continue to do what he does in big games.....
DProfessor: Which is celebrate after the game with a woman that sues him the following year? I like the Steelers too but don't think this will be a blowout. More of a see saw, 35-24 type game.

4. What is next for the Rams?
Ebizz: They can only get better. Number one on their list MUST be a talented wide receiver. The throws were on point but these guys out there now cant catch a cold. Everything else should be secondary.
DProfessor: Speaking of secondary, how about somebody that actually covers? But #1 should be top WR, #2 should be fast RB, #3 should be a overall athlete.....Kick returner.

5.Favorite Superbowl memory
DProfessor: The Greatest Show on Turf vs Titans. This started the good Super Bowl Era. Only 2 bad Super Bowls since this one.
Ebizz: Most recent has to be Eli Manning vs the Patriots. He broke a tackle that was sure to be a sack, then gets off a crazy pass to be caught by David Tyree and his helmet. Jaw dropping play!

6. Best Album No One has Heard

DProfessor: Big K.R.I.T - Krit wuz here. Something is best song but dont sleep on the rest.
Ebizz: Anything Tiron or BLU.

7. Eddie House: Fair or Foul
DProfessor: The Sam Cassell "Big Nuts" Celebration has to be top 5 on my list with TO and Pom Poms, The Jordan Fist Pump, The Mutombo Wave, and Aaron Rodgers Championship Belt.
Ebizz: via text message "F@ck HIM!!!!"

8. Worse Losing Streak: Cleveland or Washington on Road?
DProfessor: Karma Dan Gilbert, Karma.
Ebizz: Cleveland, They still have a team?

9. Mid Season MVP?
DProfessor: Derrick Rose. Best PG IN THE LEAGUE. Hand Down Man Down.
Ebizz: Manu Ginobili. He should get comeback player of the year too.

10. Trouble in LA?
DProfessor: Man please. Is it April yet?
Ebizz: Playoffs? We talking about Playoffss?

Back with SUPER 10

1. NFL - Superbowl Predictions
Ebizz: Black n yellow Black n yellow Black n yellow............ Crown em.....
DProfessor: Maybe they can get the Black Eye Peas to remix with Wiz because the crowd was showing him no love.

2. NFL MVP
Ebizz: Mr. Brady got that. Vick was a close second place. In fact I would give him most improved or something like that. but Brady put up some crazy numbers
DProfessor: Mr. Perfect Brady won the popularity contest. Vick didnt have enough games under his resume to compete. I guess Revis gets Defensive Player of Year. Rex Ryan wins FootLocker gift card.

3. NFL play of the year
DProfessor: Troy Polamolecules doing the Lambeau Leap over the Ravens offensive line. Dude is ridiculous. Surprisingly, his presence on the field makes all the difference. During the last two seasons, the Steelers are 17-4 when Polamalu plays but 5-7 when he doesn't. He missed 11 games last season with a pair of left knee injuries. Numbers don't lie, people do.

Ebizz: Marshawn Lynched a few saints when he assaulted that defense with a nasty stiff arm to top off the run. What a better time than the playoffs huh? I consider that payback for what happened to my Vikes last year.

4. Rookie of the year
DProfessor: The easy answer is Bradford. The Rams gave the young guy zero help in skilled positions. He should have been walking around with the Jay Cutler face on the sidelines. Honorable mention: Legarrette '50Tyson' Blount (Tampa Bay), McCourty (NE), of course Su.
Ebizz: Its hard to answer this because I really have no answer... maybe Bradford(Rams), Blount(Tampa Bay), of Su(Detroit) in any order.

5. Most disappointing NFL team this post season
Ebizz: First of all how do you get a name like Matty Ice and melt when the heat is on? Them Dirty Birds flew south but got that butt spanked in a place that was said to be the hardest place to win a game. yea right they proved that theory wrong.
DProfessor: The Patriots. Either the dynasty is ending or they are cursed. Havent won a game since the helmet catch.

6. NBA Rookie of the year so far
DProfessor: Let's see, Blake Griffin is on tv every night and his team couldn't stop a nose bleed. Blake Griffin is going to make All-Star team. Blake Griffin is going to win the Dunk Contest and complete first ever jump over the backboard dunk. Should I say more......
Ebizz: We should have just given it to Blake Griffin a long time ago. John Wall will be a great NBA player for years to come. He has proven that. He is still very young tryin to lead a franchise and that takes time. Griffin took a year off recovering from an injury and that has changed his life.......

7. Heat check....
Ebizz: They are who we thought they are... a great one on one team that has shown that they are cupcake in the middle, and if one of the big two goes down they resemble the Miami/Cavaliers of last year. But we will get a real chance to gauge how good they are towards the end of the season though. Oh yea... sux to be in Cleveland right about now
DProfessor: Teams currently with better record than Heat: Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, thats it. Of these 4 teams, the only surprise is Spurs. They are who we thought they were. Contenders.

8. Most surprising player so far in the NBA
DProfessor: Can you heard of this bama from Oklahoma named Blake Griffin? I didn't think he would be this exciting, but geez louise. He is a gazelle on fast break and has put up some double doubles like Kevin Love. All-Star.
Ebizz: Give Kevin the love he deserves. One of the few White boys out here showing that they still here lol... He is putting up some monster numbers that remind me of how he did things in UCLA. My boy Monte Ellis is consistently proving that he is an elite and slept on player as well. When they mention the best guards in the NBA it confuses me to see his name is never mentioned. Check the stats.

9. Most surprising team
Ebizz: New Orleans Hornets. A healthy Chris Paul can change a whole franchise.
DProfessor: Chicago. DRose is making some real noise for MVP.

10. Most overrrated team

Ebizz: Those New York Knicks. They got off to a great start but are slowly coming back down to earth. They are proving they need Carmelo this season. Obviously the guys around Amare are good, but not great which makes them replaceable. They need alot more consistency, which is what Melo brings.
DProfessor: Orlando. Sure they updated their roster and got rid of some dead weight. But does that jump them in front of Miami or Boston, or Chicago. Neahhhh.

If your NBA team cant even reach the playoffs, you need to study the game more and like e-40 told Rasheed Wallace, " stick to basketball nicca"

Thickness....Oh Wait...Wrong Email

1. Colts/Jets?
Ebizz: Im goin to stick with the Jets to upset. The Colts having defense that is good enough to put Manning in position to make great plays.  Yet, their defense is not the best in the NFL. So they are bound to give up some plays.  If you think Revis is the only threat the Jets have, apparently you have not watches any games. point blank.

DProfessor: This is too easy. The Colts are tough on D playing against a one-dimensional team. Sure the Jets play great defense, and run REALLY good. But you have to score more than 10 pts offensively to beat the Colts. Revis is great, but he can't guard 3 people at once. Colts 27 - Jets 13.

2. Saints/Vikes?

DProfessor: Ahhh.....one for the ages. This is like the USC/Texas game back with Vince Young and Reggie Bush. You know their are going to be some points put up in this one. AP has yet to get going, and who's to say that Brett wants him to do so? Brett wants to air that ball out and sling it all over the field. The problem is that the Saints do that better than any team in the league. The last team with the ball wins. Bottom line. Saints 41 Vikes 38.
Ebizz: Stop changing your mind. Im going with my Vikings in this one. Super Bowl winners............

3. Super Bowl Pick?

DProfessor: It's easy for me. The Colts. They have been the most consistent team all year....hence going 14-0 before shutting it down for the playoffs. Sure, call me a homer...but who else can win the tough games? All of the Vikes big wins have been blowouts, the losses, close. Same for the Aints. I'm taking the Colts and of course, MVP goes to the White QB...barring a 8 sack performance from Freeney.

Ebizz: So you must have not seen the Vikings vs the 49ers this year? or how about  when they played the Steelers when they were robbed of that game? Or how about the Ravens who was one of your favorite teams coming into the season?? Vikings have won tough games and I say they are still able to do so. Dont count them out.

4. Well, we found Marvin Harrison
DProfessor: My daddy always told me to watch for them quiet cats, they are usually the craziest ones. Marvin is showing his true colors IF these details become true.

Ebizz: If details become true?? they have a man that said he was shot by Marvin Harrison. Then he was killed after coming out and saying that? A hell of a story to make up out of no where. It is what it is.

5. Restructure of the NBA
DProfessor: I'll take a revision to All-Star Weekend. Ray Allen wants 25% fan voting. Billups echoed that. I agree. There is no way in hell T-Mac should be allowed to play, let alone start in the game. My D-League player on NBA2K is averaging better numbers than him and AI. AI should bow down and let Rondo or DRose start if he gets the nod. AI can at least play a little bit. T-Mac is done.

Ebizz: The playoff system needs some retooling because the east only has to barely win and make the playoffs, while in the East an impressive 50 win season does not even guarantee you a spot?  I say put teams with the best scores vs. each other and let the teams with garbage records watch the competition from the sideline..

6. Big Mac with a side of "roids"
Ebizz: really i say f*** baseball but I must say the way these circumstances are being handled puzzles me.  The black unemployment rate is steady on the rise but yet we still are over saturated with sports icons that are built like pro wrestlers finally admitting what we already knew.  Lets focus on something important out here, and by the way FREE BARRY BONDS and let him play!!!!!!!!!!

DProfessor: What has yet to be said from Cardinal Nation is that we "forgive" McGwire is because he is white. White people stick together. They don't cross alliances, like Pimp C said, "If you was a cartoon character on your first album, you better be a cartoon character on your last one." I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I miss some Pimp C. Let Barry Bonds come out with a lame azz apology. You might as well shut down all the comment sections because they will be overwhelmed with hate.

7. Where should Toby Gerhart Go?
DProfessor: Gerhart is a late 1st Rounder to me unless he dazzles at the combine. He has to show he is sub 4.5 in the 40 and must kill the other RBs in bench presses. Teams will me ready to gobble him up...let's face it, how many good legitimate white rbs are there in the league?

Ebizz: I agree with you. Late first round, but yet a real steal.  I want to see him aside a fast back to add some balance  (ex: Tennessee, or Minnesota)
8. Vick to the Rams?
DProfessor: In the words of 8-5, "Child please." The day Vick signs with the Rams and doesn't get shot on site by John Wilkes Booth III, is the day I buy season tickets to the Dome. This is STL.
Ebizz: All the stuff you talking goes out the window when teams want to sell tickets. The fans will come out to see Vick play and he would have my full support as well.  If he came here and won the Rams about 8 games, people would be more than willing to put that dog-stuff behind them....Hell look at my man Kobe.

9. What happened to Steven A Smith?
DProfessor: According to CBeans, ESPN has a pecking order and Stephen A wasn't playing ball. You can catch him on Fox Sports and on his own site....HERE.  The fact of the matter is Stephen A kept it real and called a lot of cats out on the air. He always gave Skip the business too. Big up, rather be owner, than be owned.
Ebizz: Steve Smith we miss you and shouts out to Bill Walton. please come back

10. Fantasy NBA Slam Dunk Contest Contestants
DProfessor: Can we get Shaq to rally the troops? I'm not too excited with Shannon Brown, Nasty Nate, and Gerald Wallace. Nice lineup but I won't miss any sleep over this one if I miss the festivities.

Ebizz: Nasty Nate Dogg!   How about JR Smith, Jamario Moon, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Vince Carter, and maybe Russell Westbrook. Can we get a little variety out here? But lets also take it back to the Jordan vs. Dominique rules, before the addition of the team crap.

Step your inteview game up before you get remixed too!!!!!

Blazing Through the Playoffs

Vikings vs. Cowboys
Ebizz: I gotta go with my guys and the Purple Pride. Brett is on a mission and I think this is his time to shine.  The Romo Boys are gonna follow the same game plan they always have.  That is disappoint those who have been looking for success since Emmitt. LOL.
DProfessor: How bout them Cowboys? There are only 2 teams left in the playoffs that are run first, Jets and Cowboys. Isn't it sad that the Vikings don't fall in that list with the 2nd best running back in the game? That being said, the Vikes have what it takes to stop the run in the Williams Wall. I go Vikes 27 Boys 21.

Saints vs. Cardinals
DProfessor: If this game were on Sunday, it would be a no brainer. Kurt Warner and Jesus must be distant cousins because he is the man on Sundays. I think the Saints started to fall apart late in the season and teams allowed them to throw the ball in between the 20's. I think the game is another shootout like last week. Cards 45 Saints 35.
Ebizz: Kurt Warner is amazing this time of year no matter how bad he may have played up to this point.  It is very very hard to best against the man in circumstances like this one.

Jets vs. Chargers
Ebizz: This is a very very uncomfortable decision to make, but I would want to say that whoever wins this game, I may have to write a ticket to the big game.  The problem is, my gut says to go with the Jets, but stats say go with the Chargers.....I will say the Jets because of that win last week to get into the playoffs.  I feel they are one of the most confident teams in the league and that goes a long way.
DProfessor: I want the Jets to win due to my disdain (hate) of the Chargers. Especially after LT puts out crazy vids like this.

Colts vs. Ravens
DProfessor: Are we sure that the Patriots were any good last week? The weakness in the Ravens is pass defense, which happens to be Peyton Manning's favorite subject. The questions about stopping the run for the Colts seemed to have been answered and the Ravens definitely don't want to fall behind too fast with a QB that only completed 4 passes last week.
Ebizz: Derrick said is best with Manning for President. He is not real by any stretch of the imagination. Ravens do have an extraordinary running game, but offensively, that is all.  Manning all day.

Lane Kiffin to USC
Ebizz: My only question is WHY??? has he even proven to be a worthy candidate to replace Carroll?  The has to be some other motives beyond his coaching that got him this job.  Bad move
DProfessor: Well its not like their where going to hire a black coach, they still mad at Juice Simpson.

Another Coach fired for motivating his player too harshly
DProfessor: Are coaches getting tough or players (and their parents) getting soft? I have seen some little league coaches tear into kids tougher than some of these instances.
Ebizz: C'mon Son!!  This is like a domino affect going on. My only question is who is next on the list to get the axe.

Gilbert "gun-totting" Arenas
Ebizz: Again a player used as the fall guy (Mike Vick) to set an example. He mad a very dumb decision and deserves a punishment.  The whole season without pay is a little bit too harsh, especially when you take into consideration other players who've mad dumb decisions that didn't cost them a whole season. Steven Jackson outside a nightclub letting off rounds, LaGarrett Blount, and I am sure there are more we could list here.
DProfessor: This does seem very Vickesque. Player did something stupid and tried to cover up the dirt. Check. League doesn't think player is worthy of salary or recognition they recieve. Check. Commish wants to let the league know who is boss before labor deals expire. Check. And now....Gilbert charged with felony.

Heisman Candidates for next season?
Ebizz: Only person who comes to mind so far is Terrell Pryor.  This will be his junior year and I believe he is ready to show that he is a great quarterback. Injuries have slowed his progression down, but yet and still, he has proved that he has excellent awareness and athletic abilities that set him apart from other college players.  This will be his season!
DProfessor: Since you have to be a white quarterback to be the early favorite, or best player on the best team to win....How about Jeremiah Masoli from the Oregon Ducks? The Pac 10 has to be up in the air after all the shakeups and Ducks finished strong. Oregon runs the spread so the rushing and passing numbers should be there. Plus the Ducks can make statement games vs USC and Washington next year.

College Hoops anyone??
Ebizz: There are a lot of entertaining athletes in college bball that will make sure to destroy a lot of brackets this year.  Some of the players that are balling are Dominique Jones of USF is damn near amazing on the court and a big time sleeper but his team is lacking.  Austin Freeman of G'Town is big time, and also Demarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe of Kentucky.
DProfessor: How about those Missouri Tigers winning 30 in a row at home with Mike Anderson? 40 minutes of hell is something to be reckoned with.

Remember ME
Ebizz: How about taking time out to remember some athletes that kind of dissapeared.....what ever happened to Kerry Kittles? How about Ron Mercer? God Shammgod, a Bullets benchwarmer and hero of the University of Providence.   How about Mr. Marvin Harrison? Where are you?????lol
DProfessor: What about Stephen A. Smith? Harold Miner? Miles Simon? J-Will from Duke? Send us a tweet or something.

Friday Nov 20, Deeper than Rap

1. Pacquiao>>>>>(Your Favorite Boxer)
DProfessor: Let me kick this one off. Pacman destroyed Miguel Cotto. That is three separate articles that say the same thing. Pacman walked Cotto down like he was the bigger man, like he was the bully....which he was. Cotto looked great, in great shape, was quick, had a game plan. But Pacquiao was that much better. Pacquiao had the strength and speed to make Cotto back up with crushing body blows and hooks to the dome. Cotto was outmatched and admitted so in the post fight like a man.
Ebizz: No need for comment you covered all basis on this one. Pacman numbers just in....

2. Who wins: Mayweather vs Pacquiao
Ebizz: I'm gonna still ride with Mayweather if they ever get into the ring. I'm not fully confident because they are both tough fighters. Comparing all the old fights does not always equate to how they will box versus each other. The only way to figure it out will be to have them get it on in!!!! Still, Mayweather has my vote.
DProfessor: The trickiest part of this equation is that Mayweather won't actually fight. IF he signs and IF he comes to the ring, he is going to dance his azz off like he was still on NBC (pic above). There is a time when a boxer does actually have to swing....this isn't the Olympics. Pop shotting and jabs shouldn't be able to win a fight. And that is saying that he lands due to the fact that Pacman maybe faster than he is. Floyd may be quicker, but Pacman is definitely the stronger fighter. Just look at the fights they had in common, Pacman disposed of Hatton earlier than Floyd and in more dramatic fashion. Let's not forget, Hatton won some rounds vs Floyd, it wasn't pure domination. And Oscar vs Floyd didn't hold a candle to Pacman making Oscar quit.

3. Who loses first: Colts or Saints?
DProfessor: Saints have a near cake walk to 16-0. Saints get Tampa, Pats, Washington, Atlanta, and Dallas in the next 5 games, with Tampa and Carolina to finish the season. If they make it past the Pats and Cowboys at home...hello Undefeated. Colts have a much harder schedule with Ravens, Houston, Tenn, Denver and Jax in next 5 games. Add in some injuries, inconsistent young wrs, and patchwork defense, I think this is a no brainer.
Ebizz: Not a no brainer. I do not consider this a cakewalk. There are alot of hungry teams in that NFC who are fighting for a playoff spot like Dallas, Atlanta, Carolina. In my opinion it can go to either one especially being that the Rams damn near beat the Saints.

4. Super Bowl Pics?
Ebizz: Minnesota and the N.O.---is that even possible? I love what the Colts got going on and those Bengals. holler back.
DProfessor: My NFC teams were originally Green Bay and Giants. That's not gonna happen. How about I roll with Arizona and Saints. AFC was New England and Ravens. Well...Pats might make it but the Ravens got old fast. I stick with Pats and Bengals. Super Bowl, I will stick with 4th and 2 Belicheck.

5. Surprise Teams:
DProfessor: You picked the Saints to surprise everybody this year. Here is your time to gloat about knowing more than me in the National Football League.
Ebizz: I wont gloat brother!!! But I will say TOLD U SO lol!!!!!!!!!

6. BCS Bullcrap
Ebizz: After you name off the few games Cinci and Boise St. played continue reading their schedule and you will see that the strength in schedule STILL does not match up. Cincinnati also has bums like SEMO on their list. What if Florida or Alabama played them? And the ACC is not even worth a mention outside of maybe two teams. Regardless of the matter, the teams are stationed in the proper ranking order because when it comes down to it. The small guys that you are representing will not will if they played Florida or Alabama. They need to stay in a little guys place where they are.
DProfessor: I know you think I am always fighting for the little man, but lets compare the tale of the tape. The fuss is that the smaller schools don't play anybody all year and then show up to the party and get blasted. How has that theory played out for Ohio St or Alabama for that matter. Florida and Alabama play just as many cupcakes as "good SEC teams". Florida played Charleston Southern, Troy and will play Florida Intl this week for non-conf games. Alabama has played a stiffer schedule with Va Tech, Florida Intl, North Texas and Chattanooga. Not exactly world beaters. Cincinnati played Oregon St, Fresno St and Illinois. TCU went to ACC country and beat Virginia and Clemson. Boise knocked out Oregon and also got Fresno St. The big boys are bailing out the small programs to boost their records but not their credibility. And staying in their place...Utah beat Joe Louis's azz (Alabama) badly in the bowl game.

7. Heisman?
Ebizz: Tebow all day.
DProfessor: Can we not award the Heisman and save it for next year like roll over minutes? By default, the trophy goes to Tebow or McCoy unless one or the other loses. How about some love for Dan LeFevour? He is Tebow 2.0 and will be a better pro. He has great numbers with 2500+ passing yards, 600+ rushing, and 36 total tds. He is the next Big Ben....watch for him.

8. From Italy with Love: Brandon Jennings
Ebizz: This dude is awesome. I admit the media forced my hand into not expecting much out of him, but that overseas trip seasoned him to come in like a veteran.
DProfessor: He dropped a double nickel vs Golden State (* for no defense) and a star is born. Clap for him. He is averaging 25ppg, 6 ass, 5 reb and is shooting a great percentage. The knock on him was that he couldn't shoot right? You don't hear the name Rubio too much anymore do you? Hands down Rookie of Year.

9.College Bball - Who is hot?
Ebizz: Well, I love that Michigan State squad. Those guards are professional in how they handle things on the court with maturity. Louisville looks real nice. Look out for highlight reels from Peyton Siva, and St. Louis' own Jared Swopshire. Kentucky is full of talent that is awaiting to gel, and expect one and gone out of John Wall. Did you see him posterize Jerry Stackhouse this summer?? DAAAAMMMMNNNN
DProfessor: I dont know about this year, but UNC signed 3 of top 20 kids for next year. Shouldn't there be a cap on how many top 100 can sign with one school or another? I place the cap at 3. That is kind of like NCAA Free Agency. Teams can't sign all the top free agents in the league every year, so NCAA should feel some of that burn too. Let's face it, its not like they are going to school for the great dinners in the cafeteria.

10.Allen Iverson on the move
Ebizz: Word is that Iverson may be heading to either Miami or the Knicks. I say that Miami will be the better fit. This way DWade will be able to lighten up on the scoring load a little bit, and they are in desperate need of help at the guard position anyways. Iverson will be back on a team will playoffs contention as opposed to New York. The Knicks are not in need of Iverson they need a recking ball to take down Madison Square Garden and start from scratch. Hell, The St. Louis Rams need him at QB as well, but thats another topic for next week.
DProfessor: Is this the classic case of pampered athlete not realizing that is time is done? I love AI, always have but he is gonna out like a lightweight right now. Don't sign for the money and then say you want to win. Don't lie to yourself or nobody else that you "wanted" to be in Memphis. AI would have been better off to just hold out until December/January and let injuries or the swine flu take cats out the line up and come in and drop 30 like Earl Boykins. I liked the Miami deal before the season. Heat fans, quit lying to yourself and saying Mario Chalmers is your PG, he is just keeping the seat warm.
